Training & background:

After 34 years in the NHS and 24 years at Rustlings Road Surgery, Dr Sharpe is delighted to continue to offer her friendly and professional services exclusively at Claremont.

She qualified from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London in 1981.  She continued her training in Oxford, Bath & Bristol and gained experience in dermatology, gastroenterology, renal medicine, neurology and general medicine.  She then undertook her GP training, which included obstetrics and gynaecology before moving to Sheffield in 1990.

She became a partner at Rustlings Road Surgery in 1992 and worked there until March 2016.

She underwent further training in 1998 and became a Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).

In 2012 she gained a certificate in Nutritional Healing from the Nutritional Healing Foundation.  This significantly enhanced her understanding of the pivotal part that nutrition plays in both disease prevention and in attaining improved health and well-being.

In 2013 she studied hypnotherapy as an extension to her NLP skills, and was awarded a Diploma in Hypnotherapy (Dip Hyp).

These additional qualifications support her long experience and enthusiasm in providing care to patients, not only in terms of medicine and clinical health, but also in terms of mind and wellness.
