Training & background:

Mr Baxter is a Consultant Gynaecologist who has an established private practice at Claremont.

He trained in Manchester and completed a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery before becoming a Consultant at the Royal Hallamshire in 2002.  As a specialist in keyhole surgery, his areas of expertise include the investigation and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding and endometriosis.  He is also Gynaecology Lead at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Mr Baxter is a national trainer and specialist in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.  His interests include the management of abnormal uterine bleeding, the treatment of endometriosis, day-surgery ‘keyhole’ hysterectomy, out-patient gynaecology (including hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation for heavy periods) and out-patient sterilisation.
