Claremont to care exclusively for South Yorkshire Police
Claremont Private Hospital, part of the Aspen Healthcare Group is delighted to announce it will now be caring for South Yorkshire Police Healthcare Scheme members exclusively as part of a new contract.
Northumbria and South Yorkshire Police Federation jointly run a member funded scheme to access first class private healthcare for their paying Federation members. Members can expect hotel-style extras like White Company toiletries, in-room entertainment, free WiFi and refreshments, an a la carte menu and comfortable en-suite bedrooms. Claremont will also become a Comfort Break for Sheffield-based officers out on the beat needing to use the toilet or restaurant facilities.
Over £5M has been invested into Claremont since 2012 and completed projects to date include a stunning new main reception, refurbished theatres, a new restaurant, new endoscopy suite and the opening of the first deluxe private inpatient bedroom and 6-bay day case ward.
Andy Davey, Hospital Director says “The Police do an amazing job and we’ve wanted to care for them exclusively for some time. We can’t offer emergency care but we can offer first class private healthcare for every day health concerns, tests, scans and surgery. We will continue to work with the Police to ensure our offering to them is the best it can possibly be.”
Jim Lucas, South Yorkshire Police Federation Secretary says “We’ve been working with Claremont for the past year or two to ensure that together, we can deliver the fastest and best healthcare possible to our healthcare scheme members. It is important for us to get our officers back on the beat following illness and having Claremont behind us, will help us achieve that in the most efficient way.”
