Mr Simpson-White is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Bassetlaw Hospital, with a private practice at Claremont.
He was appointed as Consultant to Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2014 and is one of two surgeons in the Trust who specialise in Hand and Wrist surgery.
He initially obtained a Natural Science degree from Cambridge University in 1993, before coming to Sheffield and studying medicine, obtaining his second degree in 1998. Basic surgical and higher surgical Orthopaedic training was also completed in the Sheffield region, along with a specialist Fellowship in Hand and Wrist surgery at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals in 2012.
Mr Simpson-White offers a personal, friendly and bespoke approach to solving hand and wrist surgery problems for patients, based on the needs and lifestyle of a patient. He works closely with Hand Therapists to maximise early return to function after surgery, where possible.
He regularly attends the British Society for Surgery of the Hand meetings, to keep up to date with current thinking and developments in the field and has published outcomes of pyrocarbon joint replacement in the hand. He is also Clinical Governance Lead for his Department at Bassetlaw Hospital and regularly teaches and examines the orthopaedic surgeons in training in the region.
